Key Responsibilities:
* Technical aptitude

* Must provide basic hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, strippers, lineman pliers, tape measure)
* Basic troubleshooting skills (ground fault, batteries, phone line, open circuit, short circuit)

* Ability to decipher the resistor color code
* Mechanical aptitude (ability to read and understand a schematic)

* Ability to disable most fire alarm panel NAC circuits

Essential Job Functions:
* Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
* Follow the Emergency Action and Communication Plans and all Standard Operating Procedures for emergencies.
* Completes incident reports as required.
* Responds to all fire/medical/security/hazmat/threat situations according to Emergency Response Plan and Standardized Operating Procedures and Medical Director Protocols.
* Performs routine daily/weekly/monthly inspections on fire alarm/fire suppression/and security equipment.
* Physically inspect all fire suppression systems, including but not limited to:
* Sprinkler System
* Manual and Automatic Alarm initiating devices
* Fire Panels
* Standpipe Hoses
* Perform daily inspections on apparatus, security vehicles, and emergency response equipment.
* Patrol facilities for fire or building code violations and additional safety hazards; report to supervisor.
* Act as a weather spotter and monitor weather alerts through Sky Guard or other notification systems.
* Approve and inspect all hot works and high-hazard hot works, confined space permits.
* Participates in daily training on emergency response to maintain readiness.
* Maintains compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandate.
* Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a high-pressure environment.

Minimum Qualifications: For entry-level
