In this role you will need to be familiar with inspecting, testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing Fire Alarm systems. Responsibilities * Inspectors shall perform all inspections, testing and some repair tasks on fire alarm systems. * Service technicians shall respond to scheduled and emergency service requests and perform in-depth trouble shooting, repair and/or replacement of system equipment. * Service Technicians will have the ability to program fire alarm systems or have experience with programing low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV. * Frequently resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives. * Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners. * Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. * Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. * Effectively communicate project status to management. * Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required. * Industry related FAL (Texas Fire Alarm License) is required. * Experience with the following manufacturers: Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, and Gamewell/FCI is preferred. Why Join Us? * Company Vehicle & Cell Phone Provided * 401(k) with Company Match * Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance * Paid Vacation & Paid Holidays * Educational Assistance & Ongoing Technical Training * Stable, Established Company with Strong Midwest Presence * Career Advancement Toward NICET II Certification Job Details Qualifications – Needed * High School Diploma or GED * Degree in Electronics or minimum 1–3 years of related fire alarm or low voltage experience * Must meet proficiencies of NICET Level II Technician and obtain NICET II Certification within 2 years * Experience servicing Notifier, Simplex, EST or similar commercial fire alarm systems * Experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Nurse Call Systems * Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check * Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose low voltage electrical systems * Ability to obtain required state licensing for security industry work Key Responsibilities and Duties * Install, service, and maintain commercial fire alarm and life safety systems * Troubleshoot and repair alarm panels, sirens, strobes, horns, and peripheral devices * Test and verify system functionality according to manufacturer specifications * Program and reprogram fire alarm systems using approved software and tools * Perform voltage, resistance, and circuit analysis using a multimeter * Ensure compliance with company and state regulations * Complete daily service documentation and reports accurately * Maintain assigned company vehicle in clean and operational condition * Participate in on-call rotation as required * Oversee or assist junior technicians when assigned Interested in hearing more?
