Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the onsite construction as a unified and collaborative team
* Coordinate & oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned projects

* Lead new hire jobsite introductions and training, and assign jobs

* Review preliminary project documents
* Attend the hand-off meeting to discuss project scope, schedule, subcontractors, materials, and project start.
* Review contract documents: plans, specifications, contract, and any other pertinent project information
* Ensure Mullins’ safety policies and procedures are enforced and maintained on a daily basis. This includes:
* Enforcing site specific safety plan
* Conducting weekly safety toolbox talks and submitting sign-in sheets
* Ensure Mullins Safety Analyses (MSAs) are completed and reviewed as needed
* Submitting detailed Incident Reporting Forms on the day the incident occurred
* Prepare a two-week look ahead schedule with the PM
* Ensure proper notification and documentation is made regarding delays
* Communicate impact of delays to PM and appropriate parties
* Notify PM, Subcontractors and Owner of opportunities to accelerate schedule, and obtain approval to proceed
* Manage project deliveries and logistics
* Coordinate with the Owner/General Contractor and/or other subcontractors to ensure adequate laydown and staging areas for materials and prefabrication at the jobsite.
* Submit material requisitions two weeks in advance
* Maintain adequate material on jobsite
* Oversee material management plan
* Identify all tool and equipment needs for the project
* Maintain tools and equipment provided by Mullins to their jobsite, both owned and rented
* Collaborate with the PM to call off rental equipment
* Confirm the proper installation of all equipment on project
* Use current technology (mobile apps, email, etc.) to track and distribute information on construction projects
* Update, review and/or submit the following reports/logs in a timely manner:
* Daily Field Logs
* If applicable, Daily T&M Sheet
* Tool Maintenance Log
* Time Sheets w/Per Diem, Ride Time, and Vacation needs included
* Receiving and Manifest Reports
* Employee Reprimand, Termination, Time Off/Vacation Forms
* Daily Pipe and Structural Weld Reports
* Vehicle Inspection Report
* Welding Machine Report
* Hydro and Pneumatic Test Reports
* As-Built Drawings
* Assist the PM in creating the following:
* Job Cost Updates
* Monthly Billing
* Organize and lead weekly project meetings with Mullins’ Foremen and subcontractors

Fire Sprinkler Apprentice
Fire sprinkler apprentices assist technicians in the installation of fire suppression systems within new and existing structures. Fire sprinkler apprentices learn to install, cut, thread, and groove sprinkler pipes, connectors, and sprinkler heads in accordance with NFPA code and local standards. Additionally, fire sprinkler apprentices learn to read blueprints, complete change orders, and perform safety duties as part of daily course of work.
Training: Fire sprinkler apprentices must enter the apprenticeship training program within 1 year of hire date. The training program consists of weekly classes and on-the-job training. Successful graduates become certified fire sprinkler technicians. Sprinkler apprentice program is a Department of Labor recognized apprenticeship. Successful graduates are awarded the "Technician" classification.
Pay: As an apprentice, you will EARN while your LEARN. Our apprenticeships are full-time positions with access to company benefits. Apprentices who successfully progress in the program receive pay raises after reaching each level.
Career: Beginning as a fire sprinkler apprentice provides you with upward mobility and promotion. Technicians can become foreman, superintendents, and service operations managers. There are many cross-over career opportunities in sales, inspection, project management, and sprinkler design.

The Opportunity
As a Sprinkler Service Apprentice, you will learn about the fire protection trade directly in the field, working alongside experienced Journeyman technicians. You will help assemble, install, maintain, and service fire sprinkler systems while building the skills needed to grow into a licensed technician role. This is a field based, entry level role for someone who likes hands-on work, being on job sites, and learning by doing.
You will receive mentorship, paid training, and support as you work toward the licenses or certifications required in your area. If you are interested in the construction or life safety trades and want a clear path into a long-term career, this role is a strong place to start.
Key Responsibilities
You will spend your days on active sprinkler service and repair jobs alongside experienced Journeyman technicians, helping lay out, assemble, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems while you learn about the trade. In this role, you will:
* Work under the supervision of a Journeyman technician on active service and repair jobs.
* Assist with the layout, assembly, installation, maintenance, and servicing fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
* Follow instructions carefully and complete assigned tasks accurately, safely, and on time.
* Help maintain tools, equipment, and work areas so they are clean, organized, and ready for use.
* Interact with customers, contractors, and team members in a professional, respectful way.
* Participate in training programs and classes to earn state required licenses or certifications based on your assigned area.
What You Bring To The Table
* High school diploma or GED, required to register in apprenticeship programs
* Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in learning a technical trade
* Ability to take direction, ask questions, and follow through without constant supervision
* Comfort working at heights and lifting up to 50 pounds as part of daily work
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
* Interest in the construction or life safety trades
* Willingness to attend training and pursue state required licenses or certifications for your location
What Makes You Stand Out
* You have one or more years of experience in pipefitting, construction, or related trade.
* You have previous field experience working with sprinklers, plumbing, or mechanical systems.

Hourly pay commensurate with experience with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role. Expected salary range between $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
