About the Role
My client, a leading Data Center GC, is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety performance and development for a hyperscale data center campus consisting of 7 buildings. This role serves as a key technical resource, responsible for managing a safety team and fostering a proactive safety culture across this massive, mission-critical project.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and mentor direct reports, including workload distribution and performance evaluations.
* Conduct independent site inspections and oversee subcontractor safety compliance across the 7-building campus.
* Lead accident investigations and crisis response efforts.
* Analyze incident data to identify trends and implement preventative strategies.
* Develop site-specific safety plans and conduct project orientations and training.
* Manage safety protocols specific to critical environments and data center infrastructure.
* Ensure all project activities align with OSHA, local, and corporate regulations.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of construction safety experience with a degree, or 8+ years of relevant field experience.
* Direct experience working on Data Center projects is required.
* CHST, CSP, or equivalent professional safety designation.
* OSHA 30-Hour for Construction (OSHA 500 preferred).
* First Aid/CPR certification.
* Comprehensive knowledge of high-hazard areas: cranes, fall protection, excavation, and electrical.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple project demands.
* Physically able to navigate active construction sites, including ladders and uneven terrain.
