Position Summary

SCOPE:

Key Responsibilities
* Investigate and manage fire and theft-related property damage claims from FNOL through resolution
* Determine coverage applicability, including policy exclusions, endorsements, and limits
* Conduct detailed damage assessments using estimates, inspections, and vendor reports
* Evaluate liability and subrogation potential where applicable
* Identify and escalate suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims
* Coordinate with SIU, legal, appraisers, and external vendors (fire investigators, contractors, restoration specialists)
* Review and interpret fire origin & cause reports and police/theft reports
* Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and vendors
* Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. Job Description
The Fire Alarm Technician tests, repairs, and inspects fire detection systems. He or she must provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
* Perform installation, programming, repair, testing, and inspection of fire detection and signaling systems on a scheduled basis
* Completes all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies and procedures
* Schedules inspections with customers as required
* Provides documentation of inspections for Company records, customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other entity required
* Communicates discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and other important issues to the Company and the customer
* Follows up to ensure that suggested repairs to systems are performed
* EFI Markets services to existing and potential customers
* Trains Technician Trainees as assigned
* Commits to work until obligations are met, which may result in overtime
* Completes continuing education necessary to maintain current certifications and/or licenses as required for position
* Adheres to ALL Company Standards and Procedures, including the Controlled Substances and Alcohol Standard
QUALIFICATIONS /Certifications (Required)
* NICET Level III or IV Fire Alarm Systems certification
* EST3 or EST4 certification
* Advanced programming capabilities in fire alarm systems
Technical Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarm systems
* Comprehensive knowledge of fire protection codes and standards (NFPA 72, local jurisdiction codes)
* Expert-level proficiency in system programming, troubleshooting, and advanced diagnostics
* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Fire Alarm Technicians on the Fort Jackson team come from all areas of Columbia, South Carolina. The primary responsibility of the Fire Alarm Technician is to install, test, maintain and repair fire safety and security systems, such as fire alarms and suppression systems. Key Responsibilities
* Install or upgrade fire alarms

Essential Skills

Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 3+ years of experience- MUST include industrial or commercial facilities
* NICET II certification
* Working knowledge of NFPA standards (including 70 and 72)
* Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one
* Pass a pre-employment drug screening and back ground check
* Regular, dependable attendance
* U.S citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
