Newberry, SC 2026-04-24 The Reliability Technician is central to the reliability and engineering team. The scope of this position is to increase the productivity and efficiency of the process by identifying and reducing reliability issues by conducting proper preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment, continuously improving the PM program, and evaluating equipment life plans. This team will also utilize data gathering tools and analyze the results to assist with decision making and implement improvements to increase reliability to improve the mill’s bottom-line profitability. Duties and Responsibilities These Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To * Responsible for all vibration readings and analysis to reduce the downtime associated with failures to process equipment thus improving the profitability of the mill. * Collect and analyze vibration data from equipment using a company that provided vibration data collection instruments and software. * Responsible for the preventative maintenance program and execution of it. * Assist with determination of PM frequency. * Conduct PMs based on determined frequency! * Report findings via company provided CMMS software system. * Occasionally, make repairs based on the issues found during the PM inspections. * Assist with the development of new PM's and enter them in CMMS. * Responsible for the mill fire suppression program from water source to spray nozzle. * Assist with planning and design of new fire prot4ection systems. * Lead technician for troubleshooting and repairing existing systems. * Coordinate inspection of fire extinguishers. * Maintain fire protection valve houses, computerized monitoring systems, and backup fire protection equipment. * Monitor and report on the hot work reporting program. * Collect and enter completed hot work permits into the hot work database and review data for compliance. * Report on compliance with findings to manager * Assist with CMMS training. * Provide technical assistance to mill areas when required. * Assist with equipment repairs/modification/installation when needed by management. * Participate in on-call millwright/electrician when scheduled. * Provide technical support for production, maintenance management and technical personnel. * Consistent, predictable attendance * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform these roles. These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position. Participate in weekly Toolbox talks. Inspectors must know where all related safety documentation is at all times on each project. * Required to attend Inspector training session at SFS to stay abreast of changing technology, installation and testing and reporting approaches.
