Flight School Next - Flight Safety This role is essential to Bell’s mission of delivering the U.S. Army’s next generation flight training program. As a key member of our team, you will shape the safety foundation of the program by developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and standard operating practices that meet Bell and regulatory requirements—while ensuring safe, reliable support for daily flight training operations. What You’ll Be Doing as a Flight Safety Officer * Lead and manage all elements of the Aviation Safety Management System (SMS), including Safety Risk Management (hazard reporting, Flight Risk Assessment, and related processes), Safety Assurance (verification that safety controls are in place and effective), Safety Promotion (safety communications, stand downs, and awareness efforts), and Safety Policy. * Partner with the leadership team to develop, update, and maintain the school’s flight operations manuals, local flight procedures, and ground handling procedures.
