Fire Alarm Technician

Position Overview
Based near Austin, TX, we’re an industry leader in the fire alarm industry and focus on large commercial projects throughout the local market. We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our service & programming team. 

Key Responsibilities

* Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems according to specifications and codes.
* Focus on commercial projects with a focus on Edwards/EST panels
* Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
* Respond to service calls for troubleshooting and repairs of fire alarm systems.
* Document all service and inspection activities in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
* Collaborate with clients to address concerns and provide solutions regarding fire alarm systems.
* Stay up-to-date with fire alarm technology and industry regulations.

Qualifications

* Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
* In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems and inspection processes.
* Active FAL, EST 3/4, or NICET certifications are required
* Familiarity with NFPA standards and OSHA regulations.
* Relevant certifications or licenses in fire alarm installation and maintenance.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Ability to drive a company vehicle
* Willing to work on an on-call rotation
