Key Responsibilities:
* Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems infrastructure
* Running low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work

* Possession of basic PPE and reliable transportation during the initial training period
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years)
* Availability for extensive travel (2-6 weeks at a time) and flexible shifts including nights and on-call work
Preferred Qualifications:
* NICET Level 2 certification or State-required licenses
* Knowledge of cabling infrastructure and conduit installation
* Ability to identify independent colors and learn color codes

* Review blueprints/drawings to determine device locations and placement.

* Meet with building engineers, property management and/or site contacts upon arrival to facility to notify of work status and again upon conclusion of workday.
* Verify integrity of all work prior to tying-in to building’s fire alarm system. This may include functionality testing of installed devices, metering circuits and devices for shorts, grounds and faults.
* Repair as needed to ensure a fully compliant system operation.
* Conduct sound tests to ensure decibel level of installed notification appliances meet or exceed NFPA requirements.
* Provide documentation according to NFPA standards upon completion of work with additional sign-off upon successful testing & certification.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed. Turn-in “as-built” drawings and required copies of NFPA forms to Installation Coordinator upon completion of job.
* Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification:
* A minimum of 3 years of Fire Alarm experience is required.
* NICET certification in Fire Alarm Technology a plus.
* Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.
* Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments.

JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of this position is to sell new inspection contracts for fire sprinklers, fire alarms, backflow preventers, fire extinguishers, kitchen hood, and special hazard systems. This position reports directly to the Inspection Sales Representative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Establish contracts and qualify potential buyers of inspection contracts by various methods such as telephone calls, scheduling sales calls, and cold calling to determine customer needs.
* Responsible for follow-up contact with all new company installed sprinkler jobs to sell inspection contract work.
* Prepare renewal quotes for existing customers as required.
* Conduct building surveys to gather information to prepare quotes and gain customer understanding of company service offerings.
* Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that supports the assigned sales budget.
* Close sufficient sales to meet sales budget.
* Maintain correct and complete records utilizing Salesforce.
* Submit all required correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
* Attend Inspection Department meetings.
* Develop and maintain an ongoing and positive working relationship with the Service Manager, Administrative Assistants, Field Coordinators, Inspectors, and Service Technicians.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Description
The Fire Alarm Technician II tests, repairs, and inspects fire detection systems. He or she must provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
* Performs installation, programming, repair, testing, and inspection of fire detection and signaling systems on a scheduled basis
* Completes all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies and procedures
* Schedules inspections with customers as required
* Provides documentation of inspections for Company records, customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other entity required
* Communicates discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and other important issues to the Company and the customer
* Follows up to ensure that suggested repairs to systems are performed
* Markets EFI services to existing and potential customers
* Trains Technician Trainees as assigned
* Commits to work until obligations are met, which may result in overtime
* Completes continuing education necessary to maintain current certifications and/or licenses as required for position
* Adheres to ALL Company Standards and Procedures, including the Controlled Substances and Alcohol Standard
